Janus, for Anne Carson
Janus, is dedicated to poet and classicist Anne Carson. Janus is the Roman god of doorways, of beginnings and endings and from which the month of January derives its name. The neon piece was produced for Queen Specific, a window space gallery that looks out onto Queen street, a popular public thoroughfare in Toronto. It was exhibited in December 2009/January 2010.
